If you have reached this page, then you are an existing or future Shoutcast listener who is interested in monitoring the fire and EMS audio webcast of Ozaukee County, Wisconsin.

Located just north of Milwaukee, Ozaukee County is comprised of nine communities -- Belgium, Cedarburg, Fredonia, Grafton, Mequon, Port Washington, Saukville, Thiensville, and Waubeka -- each with its own fire department and rescue or ambulance service.  In several of these communities (e.g., Cedarburg, Grafton, Mequon, Port Washington), law enforcement is provided by municipal police departments; in others (e.g., Belgium, Fredonia, Waubeka), it is provided by the Ozaukee County Sheriff; and in others still (e.g., Saukville, Thiensville), it is provided alternatively by both, depending on day and time.

The fire and EMS paging is by conventional frequencies (155.100 MHz for Cedarburg and Port Washington, and 154.160 MHz for the other seven).  Radio communications are through an Ericsson 800 MHz EDACS trunking system, involving hundreds of potential talkgroups utilizing a total of ten frequencies and operating locally off three towers.  Frequency and talkgroup information (agency-fleet-subfleet) is available by clicking here.

The Shoutcast stream includes both the conventional paging frequencies and all of the fire and EMS EDACS talkgroups for the county's nine departments, although the pages of the northernmost municipalities (Belgium, Fredonia, and Waubeka) will likely not be heard.

Vehicle and radio numbers -- the identifiers that you'll actually hear during transmissions -- are fairly consistent across fire/rescue departments.  Each number consists of three digits (e.g., 152, 457, 870, 964). The first digit denotes the department (1xx = Cedarburg, 2xx = Waubeka, 3xx = Saukville, 4xx = Port Washington, 5xx = Thiensville, 6xx = Fredonia, 7xx = Belgium, 8xx = Grafton, and 9xx = Mequon).  The second digit indicates whether it's a vehicle or person/radio (x5x = rescue, command vehicle, grass fire truck, or ladder truck, x6x = engine, tanker, or ladder truck, x7x = officer).  And the third digit indicates the specific vehicle or officer (e.g., x50 to x52 are generally rescue squads or ambulances, x57 is a grass fire truck, x70 = chief, and x71 to x75 are assistant or deputy chiefs).  So, for example, 152 is one of Cedarburg's rescue squads, 457 is Port Washington's grass fire truck, 870 is Grafton's fire chief, and 964 is a Mequon fire apparatus.

Also included on the stream are the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department, whose numbers contain only two digits (e.g., 18 or 31), the Cedarburg Police Department, whose numbers run from 101 to the 120s, and Cedarburg Emergency Government, whose numbers are in the 140s.
